Create Your Account
Before you can sign in to the dashboard, you need an account. This page covers registration through to the moment your account is active — the part First Environment assumes is already done.
Register
Go to the dashboard's sign-up page and enter your work email and a password.
At least 16 characters. It can't contain your username or email address, and it can't repeat any of your last 5 passwords. No other rule — no forced uppercase, digit, or symbol.
Set up two-factor authentication
Registration doesn't complete without this — you'll be asked to enroll a TOTP authenticator (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, or similar) as part of the same form, before your account exists.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you can't scan it, follow the "Unable to scan?" link for the secret key and the algorithm/digits/period values to enter manually.
From then on, signing in asks for your password and a 6-digit code from your app. This is mandatory to keep the account secure — there's no way to skip it.
Verify your email
Once registration completes, PolicyArc emails you a link — subject "Verify your PolicyArc email."
If you miss the window, register again with the same email for a fresh one.
Your account exists as soon as registration completes; verifying the email is what lets you finish signing in.
Wait for activation
Once you've signed in, you'll land on your Environments page with a banner:
Your account is being activated. We'll email you as soon as it's active. Your plan begins then and runs for 30 days.
The Create environment button is disabled until activation completes — that's a PolicyArc team review step, not something you can speed up.
When it's done, every Admin on your account gets an email — subject "Your PolicyArc account is ready" — with a Create your environment button. Only Admins get it; if someone else on your team holds that role, they're the one who receives it.
